Pray on Sight with Insight
Prayer Walking is simply praying while walking around keeping our eyes open to the needs we see, asking God to intervene it is praying in the very places that we expect God to bring answers
DIRECTIONS:
ASK the Holy Spirit to direct your steps
EXALT God’s names and nature, mix and mingle conversation with praise
RECITE Scripture to release God’s blessing and cover the ground in prayer
ENTER and pray through buildings and businesses that seem open
LINGER and LISTEN watching for clues in places and on faces
PAY ATTENTION to PROMPTINGS from the Holy Spirit
STOP AND PRAY FOR PEOPLE as the Lord might lead
say “Hi, we are out here praying for the city today. Is there a way we can pray for you?”
“Can we pray for you right now?”
…”Can I share a story with you?” “Would you like to discover more about Jesus from the Bible?”
After the prayer walk we will take a few minutes to debrief: share highlights, insights, and encounters. Take note of names of places where God moves, to share or follow up.
IDEAS:
Pray the Bible – promises, the Lord’s Prayer,
Habakkuk 2:14 May the knowledge of the glory of the Lord cover this city as the waters cover the sea
Informed intercession – pray for the needs you notice
Prophetic intercession – spend time in Listening Prayer and then ask God to confirm through others what you are hearing from the Lord, submitting this to Scripture
Warfare Prayer – exercise the delegated authority to bind and restrain the Demonic principalities and loose his grace and Power in the Name of Jesus. May HE remove the blindness that is over the minds of unbelievers and draw them to Himself.
When we pray according to his will and for his Renown, God always responds, something always happens. His activity always increases. James 5:16
Little Keys Open Big Doors
Let’s take this little key, prayer, put it in God’s hands and see Him open
up a big door called Revival and Awakening here in our city.
Let’s ask God to do immeasurably more than all we could ever ask or even imagine all for his glory for our joy and for the Salvation of the peoples in the cities around the world
May the god of Hope fill you today with abounding joy and peace in believing so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in Hope. Rom 15:13
