Description and Expectations PDF BROCHURE
It’s exciting to hear that you are interested in a DMM GO Group! We believe that these groups are super impactful and a joy to be a part of. Thank you for expressing interest.
DESCRIPTION
- One of the main purposes of the GO Group is to help people fall deeper in love with Jesus through times of abiding and spending time with him and out of our overflow of spending time with Jesus and the Father it compels us to want to share the Good News that we have experienced with others. In a GO Group we seek to train and develop people to be able to share the Kingdom with our friends, neighbors, coworkers and internationals who live among us and help them follow Jesus as disciples.
- These groups seek to stay focused on living out the Great Commission through multiplying our lives through disciple making efforts. This focus drives us into deeper times of fellowship, prayer, Bible study, and accountability as people minister together in a community. Being intentional in trying to make disciples is one of the main purposes of the group.

These are the basic requirements:
1. Spend at least 3 hours with Jesus each week.
- Everything begins with God. The foundation of a healthy personal ministry must be our own relationship with Christ. Therefore, we are committing to commune with God through prayer, worship and reading the word and abiding at least 3 hours a week. This boils down to about 30 minutes each day.
2. Spend at least 2 hours reaching out to unbelievers each week.
- We will spend at least 2 hours a week intentionally serving people in our community, spending time with those that are not yet in the Kingdom, creating interest in Jesus, sharing our own personal stories, Shema statements and sharing the Good News of Jesus.
3. Spend at least 1 hour in prayer for our unbelieving friends and unreached/unengaged people groups (various nations of the world) with others in the group each week.
- Jesus informs us that the key to the harvest is prayer. To see people, enter the into the Kingdom of God, we must become a people dedicated to prayer both privately and corporately. As a community we will dedicate at least one hour of corporate prayer for our unbelieving friends, family, co workers, and internationals and the world each week. It could be a morning at 6am, during a lunch hour, at night time, etc…
4.Arrive prepared and ready to contribute to the group each weekly meeting.
- This includes completing the Bible readings, I wills, and any other assignments that are given.
5. A typical week in the GO Group would be…
- 2 Hours one night for meeting and meal.
- Approximately 2 hours a week with unbelievers.
- At least 30 minutes praying for unbelievers in the group.
- Reading from the Bible regularly.
- Writing what you learn and apply in your journal.
- Reading an assigned article or chapter every week.
- Learning and practicing outreach tools to share your faith.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- To develop a deeper love of Jesus through abiding. Jesus made it clear that we can do nothing apart from Him so we desire to be connected to the Vine so that we “overflow” onto others.
- Experience a greater understanding of God’s design to make disciples across the street and around the world in an intentional community together.
- To develop some basic tools for disciple making such as Shema statements, Jesus stories, learning to share our story more effectively and leading a DBS.
- To start a discovery group with lost people to whom the Lord leads you.
